Share permitted Trust Center content
Choose public or gated documents and review viewer requests through the portal's access controls.
Before you start
Who this is for: Trust Center editors and authorized access reviewers.
- Review the content's external-sharing approval within your organization.
- Confirm whether the document should download publicly or require viewer verification.
Follow these steps
Select the document access
Open Portal designer > Documents. Upload the intended Document file with an optional Display name and choose Document access. Public documents download directly; Gated documents require viewer email verification. Check the selected file and access mode before choosing Upload.
Review access settings
Open Settings and inspect Require manual approval for gated documents, Require NDA acceptance for gated requests, access duration, and approved email or domain entries as relevant. Those settings affect access decisions, so confirm that they match the organization's intended sharing process before saving.
Review viewer requests
Open Access inbox to inspect requests for gated documents. Where manual review is required, check the viewer and verification state before approving or denying access through the available actions. An unverified request is not the same as a verified viewer ready for a review decision.
Check the visitor experience
Use the portal's public page and supplied share URL to verify that public and gated content behave as expected. A portal link does not grant unrestricted workspace access. Questions in Inquiries have their own status; marking an inquiry resolved does not send a public answer or grant document access.
What you should see
The document uses the intended access mode, and gated requests can be reviewed independently from general inquiries.
If something doesn’t look right
A viewer cannot download a gated document
Check email verification, manual approval, NDA requirements, grant duration, and the requested document's state.
A document downloads without a gate
Inspect its Public or Gated selection and correct it through the authorized editor if the sharing decision was wrong.
An inquiry is resolved but access is still pending
Review the actual document-access request in Access inbox. Inquiry status does not grant access.
