Import and answer a security questionnaire
Create the questions, draft from approved sources when enabled, and review every answer before export.
Before you start
Who this is for: Authorized questionnaire contributors and reviewers; AI drafting requires the enabled use case and permission.
- Prepare the questionnaire and approved organization source content.
- Identify the reviewer responsible for externally released answers.
Follow these steps
Create the questionnaire
Open Trust > Questionnaires and choose New questionnaire. Enter Name and Requesting party when useful. Upload a source file or paste questions one per line. CSV and XLSX support automatic question extraction; other attached formats require you to paste the questions.
Verify the questions
Inspect the extracted text and use Column with the questions when that choice is offered. Confirm that headings, answer columns, and empty rows were not mistaken for questions. Choose Create questionnaire only after the list contains the intended questions.
Draft and review answers
When enabled, choose Draft answers with AI. Read each answer and its listed Sources. Unsupported questions are flagged for human review. Use Approve, Approve with edits, Reject draft, or the available manual-answer action. Commitment-flagged answers require an individual decision note; bulk approval applies only to eligible unflagged drafts.
Complete and export
Resolve every answer that still needs approval, then choose Mark complete when available. Inspect the final questionnaire and choose Export CSV for the external variant. Internal export is a separate option; review its contents and audience before sharing either file outside the organization.
What you should see
The questionnaire contains reviewed answers and can be completed and exported through the supported workflow.
If something doesn’t look right
Question extraction chose the wrong text
Select the correct question column where offered or correct the pasted questions before creating the questionnaire.
No approved content supports an answer
Answer manually through the review flow or add the missing approved source content before drafting again.
Mark complete is disabled
Inspect the remaining questions that need approval, your completion permission, and any commitment decision-note requirement.
