Enable and govern AI features
Enable organization-level AI use cases deliberately and retain the review steps for their outputs.
Before you start
Who this is for: Administrators with AI-configuration permission.
- Review your organization's intended AI use and the displayed operating statement.
- Provider configuration and user permissions must support the selected capability.
Follow these steps
Open AI settings
Go to Settings > AI. Inspect the AI capability state: Not configured, Disabled, or Enabled. Read the Operating statement, its version, and effective date before enabling use. The page records the acknowledging administrator when AI is enabled for the first time.
Choose use cases
Select Enable AI for this organization and review Enabled use cases. The reviewed settings include Record autofill, Questionnaire answers, Policy update drafts, Consistency claim extraction, Governance report narration, and Compliance assistant. Enable only the uses your organization intends to govern.
Save and verify
Choose Save AI settings and confirm the saved state. Organization-level enablement does not give every user permission to generate, apply, review, or release outputs. Check the relevant user's role and the use case when an AI action remains unavailable.
Keep human decisions explicit
Review proposed fields and supporting sources before applying them. Questionnaire answers need review before completion, and policies continue through their version, approval, and publication workflow. The public support assistant uses published help content and does not operate your private workspace or change these settings.
What you should see
The intended AI use cases are enabled or disabled for the organization, with role permissions and review requirements still enforced.
If something doesn’t look right
The capability says Not configured
Ask the responsible administrator or support about provider configuration. Do not paste an API key into public chat.
Save AI settings is unavailable
Verify AI-configuration permission and whether settings have changed.
A specific action remains blocked
Check organization enablement, the particular use case, user permission, and workflow state. Turning on AI alone does not release a material output.
