Supply evidence for an eligible control test
Upload a document or reuse an exact evidence version in the test's scoped evidence workflow.
Before you start
Who this is for: Contributors with evidence-submission permission; request creation may require an owner or administrator.
- Open an eligible document-supply test linked to a control.
- Know the people or systems covered and the document's period.
Follow these steps
Check eligibility and scope
Open the test and its Supply evidence workspace. Confirm the linked control and requested document. If a request already exists, review its Population and Period. If you may create the request, enter Population, Period start, and Period end before submitting.
Upload or reuse
Choose Upload evidence to provide an Evidence title, Description, and File, then Upload and submit evidence. Alternatively choose Use existing evidence, search the library, inspect the document, and choose the correct Use version action. Open full evidence form is available when you need that form's additional evidence types.
Confirm attachment
Wait for the result and inspect the submitted evidence link. If the artifact was saved but its attachment failed, choose Retry attachment. Use Open saved artifact to inspect the retained version rather than uploading another copy.
Review the resulting states
Read Current test result and Linked control health. The interface can show Evidence submitted. Independent review is pending. Document supply and artifact approval are separate, so follow the evidence or request to coordinate the remaining review.
What you should see
The scoped request has the selected evidence version attached and the test displays its updated result and review information.
If something doesn’t look right
Supply evidence is absent
This workflow is only offered for eligible document-supply tests. Inspect the test's rule and source; other tests use different actions.
Scope or submission is unavailable
Ask an owner or administrator to prepare the evidence request and its population and period, and verify your submission permission.
Reuse fails
Check that the selected version supports this document, population, and period. Read the error before retrying.
