Request evidence from a teammate
Create a specific request with an assignee, timing, and a link to the work it supports.
Before you start
Who this is for: Users with permission to request evidence.
- Identify the document or proof needed and its intended control or test.
- Confirm the teammate is an active member of this organization.
Follow these steps
Open Request evidence
Start from the relevant control or the evidence-request destination. Check any preselected source so the request is attached to the intended implementation. A request created from the wrong source can confuse later review even when the uploaded file is correct.
Describe the requirement
Enter a clear Title and Description, then choose the Requirement kind. Describe what the reviewer needs to see, including the relevant population, dates, and expected content. For example, ask for the completed access review for a defined period rather than simply asking for proof.
Set assignment and source
Expand Assignment, timing, and source. Choose the Assignee, Due date, Priority, and appropriate Renewal cadence. Select Source type and Source record when linking the request. Manual leaves the request without a control or test link; choose that deliberately.
Create and inspect
Choose Create request and open the saved request. Verify its owner, due date, source, and instructions. Use the request's evidence area to follow submissions and review decisions. Request creation assigns work; it does not supply or approve an artifact.
What you should see
The teammate has a clearly described evidence request tied to the intended source and timing.
If something doesn’t look right
The teammate is not listed
Ask an administrator to confirm their membership in this organization. Do not substitute someone from another workspace.
A source cannot be selected
Confirm the source type, enabled framework or test scope, and your read permissions.
The request is unassigned
An unassigned request still needs someone to own the work. Coordinate the assignment before relying on its due date.
