Invite members and manage roles
Add the right person to the organization and grant only the role and scope their work requires.
Before you start
Who this is for: Owners and administrators with member-management permission.
- Confirm the destination organization and intended email address.
- Agree on the person's responsibilities before choosing a role.
Follow these steps
Open member management
Go to Settings > Members and review existing members and pending invitations. Search for the person before inviting them again. A membership belongs to one organization, even when the person already uses Resguarda elsewhere.
Send the invitation
Choose Invite member, enter Email and any requested name, and select Role. If assigning Auditor, select at least one Auditor framework scope. Review the details and submit. The interface also supports adding an existing user directly where that option is available.
Track acceptance
Check the invitation result and pending invitation list. Invitations expire after seven days in the current interface. A sent invitation does not establish that the person has accepted or can access a particular engagement. Confirm that their eventual membership has the intended role.
Edit existing access deliberately
Open the member's access editor, review the role and auditor scope, and choose Save access after making the intended change. Restrictions can prevent changes to your own membership, the last owner, or provider-managed access. Owner role changes require the appropriate owner authority.
What you should see
The invitation or membership reflects the intended organization role and, for auditors, explicit framework scope.
If something doesn’t look right
The auditor role cannot be saved
Select at least one permitted framework scope and check that frameworks are enabled.
An access control is locked
Read the restriction. Provider-managed access, your own membership, and last-owner protection require the appropriate administrative process.
The member still cannot open an item
Check active membership, organization, role, resource ownership, and engagement or share scope. Membership alone does not grant every action.
