Evidence & documents
Find documents and their linked records
Use Documents to locate documentation requirements, then inspect their submitted evidence and controls.
Before you start
Who this is for: Users with evidence-read access; visible records depend on scope.
- Select the correct organization.
- Know a document requirement name, control, owner, or due date to narrow the search.
Follow these steps
Open Documents
Go to Compliance > Documents. The register lists document requirements, including Owner, Status, SLA, Controls, Evidence, and Due information. Treat the row as the requirement to be fulfilled, not automatically as an approved uploaded file.
Search and filter
Use Search documents and the available status or SLA filters. Inspect the linked control and owner when several similarly named requirements appear. Clear filters when checking whether a requirement exists at all.
Open the requirement
Select its name to open the evidence request detail. Read the instructions, due date, linked controls or test, and submitted versions. Follow an evidence link to inspect the artifact itself and its approval or expiration information.
Follow the relationship you need
From the evidence detail, inspect Linked requirements and the available Linked records. From a control, review its Documents and Evidence sections to see the same work in implementation context. Confirm the exact version and decision before citing a document as support.
What you should see
You can locate the documentation requirement and follow it to the relevant evidence version and related control.
If something doesn’t look right
The document list is empty
Clear search and filters, confirm the workspace, and ask whether a documentation requirement has been created. A standalone upload may not appear as a document requirement.
A document has evidence but is still pending
Inspect the submitted version and requirement decision. Artifact approval and requirement acceptance are separate.
A linked record is unavailable
The record may be outside your role or assigned scope. Ask its owner or an administrator to verify access rather than assuming the link exposes the record.
